Holiday Shipping Helper

Gather is hiring a seasonal worker to handle shipping for holiday sales. This person will work closely with the three Gather owners and Gather artists to coordinate orders, package and ship all holiday orders and additional small projects as time allows.

Gather is an online gallery and gift registry. We work with 15 artists, mostly based in the Twin Cities. This position will be responsible for fulfilling orders and shipping all sales made through the website over the holiday season.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience packing and shipping art - particularly ceramics
  • Is extremely detail oriented
  • Can be self-directed in their work
  • Is flexible and can adapt to change quickly
  • Is able to lift up to 70#
  • Values timeliness
  • Is responsible, particularly regarding deadlines
  • Is very comfortable using email and will be able to check and respond to emails at least once per day
  • Has good people and communication skills as they will be coordinating with the 3 Gather owners and various artists

Start date will as soon as possible, negotiated with Gather. End date will be 12/31/15. We anticipate that hours will be set on two to three days per week, with additional hours scheduled as needed to complete all shipping on time.

Pay will be $20 with a minimum of 5 hours per week ($100). If additional hours are needed, they will be paid at $20/hour.
